Jennifer and Kevin

Engagement Session Location:

The Beach

Ceremony Location:

Sea Turtle Inn

The venue was gorgeous especially because the weather was perfect. The East Veranda is ideal for an outdoor ceremony. I wasn't thrilled how they had the chairs set up but not a huge deal.

Reception Location:

Sea Turtle Inn-Great having the ceremony and reception in one location. The wedding coordinator, Fred, is a little "different" but you just have to take care of everything yourself. The food was delicious and the service was great!

Transportation:

 N/A

Flowers:

Liz Stewart Floral Designs:

WOW!!! They are awesome. Contact Tiffany at 904-0016. They are a bit pricey but so worth it. They knew exactly what I wanted. They are so awesome! My bouquet was gorgeous…check out the pictures. They make beautiful seaside style arrangements for the ceremony because I didn't want flowers…they were awesome. I had a family member make some of the arrangements like the grandparent's corsage/boutonniere, outside arrangements, etc. to help the cost.

Gown:

E-BAY. I found it in a shop for $1,200 in Daytona then went home and put in the information on E-BAY and it was available thru a shop where it was used as a sample…paid $200

Bridesmaids Dresses:

Alfred Angelo-I picked out the color then my girls picked what style they wanted

Tuxes:

After Hours:

Tuxes were all a bit big because they do not do any alterations on the tuxes. Be sure to call a few weeks to be sure they have all the paperwork correct and it matches what you choose.

Hair:

Michelle's Ultimate Image- 904-246-3634-Michelle did a wonderful job on my hair and make-up. My bridesmaids were not thrilled about their hair by some of the other stylist. Michelle is very cool and helped calm my nerves. We had someone bring in Panera for breakfast. Be sure to eat something the morning of.

Makeup:

Michelle at Michelle's' Ultimate Image

Caterer:

Sea Turtle Inn-Food was excellent…many complements

Cake:

Princess Cakes-the cake was beautiful. The prices were very reasonable and Trish will make special deals with you. After my "sample" cake I changed my original order and she took it over the phone and so the wedding cake was not what I had changed it too but it was still good. She also offered to give me a free birthday cake for the mistake. My groom loved his cake. It was German Chocolate with a Kansas City football theme.

Officiator:

Pastor Tim Machtel-Beach United Methodist Church-He was awesome! Very funny and calming

Wedding Coordinator:

Juanita Hamilton-SHE ROCKS! She is the wedding Nazi but that is what you need…someone to take the lead. She knows what she is doing.

DJ:

DJ Thundercat-Dan Joubert 904-226-4161-Dan was wonderful. He was the DJ for the ceremony and reception. Everyone loved him. He kept the party going all night. We like the games he did.

Photography:

Mark Floyd and Tonya Beaver---so awesome! Of course! They are not just photographers. They helped me with many details. We had so much fun doing our engagement pictures at the beach with Mark. On the day of the wedding, he was so calming and helpful! The really made my wedding! The pictures are beautiful and the turnaround is so quick! People made comments that you never noticed the photographers even taking the pictures. When the sun was setting we went out on the beach for a few pictures…that is a must! Tonya helped me with my dress. It was so much fun and the pictures are my favorite.

Videography:

Joel Silver-Silver Productions-don't really know. We have not received the videos yet. They ask for 6-8 weeks.

What were your gifts for guests?

We donated money to the American Diabetes Association in honor of our guests. We have some family members that suffer from diabetes. We also gave "welcome bags" to our out of town guests with goodies such as water, pretzels, chez-its, pen, notepad, candle, matches, etc. We ordered the bags and a few other items from http://www.foryourparty.com/. The bags were really cute. We ordered most of the other items from Oriental Training and the snacks we bought from Costco. We gave the children "welcome sand buckets" filled with kids stuff from Wal-Mart and Target

Honeymoon:

Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico. It was so relaxing and gorgeous

What was your high point of the day?

Walking down the isle with my dad next to me and then seeing my groom!

What if anything would you change about the day?

The reception was 5 hours. We were all having so much fun, wish we would of done maybe one more hour.

What advice could you give to future brides?

Don't stress about the little things. Everyone tries to give you advice, listen to your gut, it's your day. YOU know what you want. Don't let your family make your decisions...it is your wedding day. Try to "assign" one person that is not involved in the wedding to be your "assistant", checking in the vendors, helping set-up, dealing with any issues, etc. so that you are not bothered with little details while trying to get ready.

We did a weekend wedding bash because we had so many out of town guest. On Thursday night we had "family night" at Al's Pizza. On Friday the boys played golf at Queens Harbour and I slept in and spent time with my mom and sister and a few friends. On Friday night we had an early rehearsal and intimate dinner with just the wedding party and their significant other at Max's, which was delicious. THEN, we had a welcome party at Sticky Finger's for all of our friends and family. We reserved the deck and bought a keg, wine, and some finger food. It was great for everyone to hang out together before the big day. Honestly, I was more stressed on Friday then Saturday because there was so much going on. Saturday went so quick…enjoy it!

Wedding Album -

I chose to design a flush mount album, and I am SO glad that I did.  We're about half way done designing it, and I LOVE IT!!!  Tonya and Mark are just so creative and know exactly how to make my album perfect for me and my new husband.  We couldn't be happier.
